The ADDAC709M Voltage Controlled Tape Replay Machine is an official recreation of Electro-Harmonix's Mel9 pedal for Eurorack. Transform the tone of your modular system into a full-fledged Mellotron® replica!
Feed the module with the audio signal of your oscillators and be prepared for EHX's polyphonic pitch tracker to mutate any waveform into tape-thick timbres. Using the three AUDIO INPUTS it’s super easy to achieve polyphony, without the need for an external mixer.
On the panel of the ADDAC VC Tape Replay Machine you will find all the controls of the original EHX Mel9 design. The INPUTS MIX GAIN controls the volume of the input signal(s) being processed (i.e. a value of 0 will mute the module), while the EFFECT control controls the volume of the wet signal. Extra control over each input’s individual volume exists by way of three dedicated multi-turn trimmer pots. The dry/wet MIX OUTPUT will let you control the degree of dry and wet signals present at the output, while the ORGAN SATURATION and MIX AMPLIFICATION trimmer pots amplify or attenuate their maximum volume values. Less saturation generates sweeter and mellow timbres while more saturation generates growling tape-burning sounds. The 9 PRESETS of the original Electro-Harmonix Mel9 pedal (Orchestra, Cello, Strings, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Brass, Low Choir and High Choir) were kept, but in addition to knob selection you can also swap between them using CV signal at the PRSTS CV input. ATTACK and DECAY control set the volume swell speed, from graduate fade-ins to increased fade-out times.
True to the tradition of ADDAC System modules, each of the available parameters can be put under CV control, using the 6 available CV inputs. Each one comes with a dedicated attenuation knob (ATT.) as well as an INVERT toggle to change the parameter’s polarity and the way the attenuation acts. The AUDIO OUTPUTS section covers all possible options: INPUTS MIX, DRY/WET MIX and EFFECT.

It has an additional cost of 80€ and takes 4 to 6 weeks to be ready.
It can be done in either Black, Green, Blue, Red, Silver Gray, Yellow, or Gold.
